Rubbish day’s work

After a 4,000 word corker of a Monday, Tuesday saw no words written at all, because I was cooking dinner for ten and got a bit carried away. Grilled mackerel, straight from the sea via the Brighton seafront fishmonger, new season gooseberry sauce, samphire, jersey royal potatoes with lemon herby dressing, aubergines with tahini and pomegranates, courgette fritters. Then lady’s fingers, orange salad and rose icecream for pudding. A lovely evening with good friends, sitting out until midnight. All my jackets and cardis were in use, because it was a bit chilly.

But I felt bad about not writing. Like I had missed out an important part of my life. Today, I was supposed to catch up, but have failed, and only wrote 1000 words rather than the 5000 I was boasting about last night in my cups.Possibly it is due to those cups that I am not on top writing form today. Must do better.

But I have had some good title ideas, so all is not lost. I hope.
